Channel Trend Inc., founded in 1982, is an internationally recognized institutional investment research firm and has developed a highly quantitative and disciplined approach to capturing profits. Some of the past and current clients include:

Channel Trend was founded in 1982 to provide quantitative equity research to institutional investors. The foundation of the quantitative research is the Price Projector Model. The Model ranks a comprehensive population of n stocks from #1 (highest risk adjusted upside potential) to #n (lowest risk adjusted upside potential), all relative to the population as a whole. It is unique and proprietary.

The Model can be used to:

  • Identify attractive stocks for purchase.
  • Identify holdings to sell or avoid, and stocks that are short sale candidates.
  • Monitor portfolio and fund holdings and stocks on approved lists.
  • Measure and monitor the relative risk of individual stocks.

Channel Trend produces daily and weekly rankings and ratings on over 4000 U.S. stocks, over 9500 International stocks and over 800 ETFs.

Channel Trend Team:

Allen F. Campbell, CEO. Mr. Campbell is also CEO of Channel Trend’s parent company Campbell Keller Asset Management Corporation. He focuses on overall corporate strategy and development. His undergraduate degree (B.A. 1964) is from the College of Wooster. His law degree (J.D. 1967) is from Columbia University in New York City.He also has an MBA from the University of Chicago (1972), with a concentration in finance/portfolio theory.Before becoming an independent businessman in 1980 Allen was: Attorney-at-law with Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, Cincinnati, Ohio; Associate in theCorporate Finance department of Bear Stearns & Co., New York City; Consultant to the international technology and management consulting firm, Arthur D. Little & Co., of Cambridge, Massachusetts; and Vice President and Director of the Corporate Finance Department of Schneider Bernet & Hickman in Dallas, Texas. Allen has been an independent businessman since January 1, 1980. He was the founder and chairman of International Murex Technologies, a biotechnology company that went public and was later acquired by Abbott Labs (DOB: 7/24/42).

William H. Keller, President. Mr. Keller is also President of Campbell Keller Asset Management. He is in charge of operations. Bill has been instrumental in the alpha generation of Channel Trend’s models and trading discipline. He received his degree in finance from Pace University in New York City. He has been interviewed by publications including The Wall Street Journal, Barrons, Kiplinger’s, and Forbes and has had guest appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg. He has introduced Channel Trend to clients domestically in the United States and internationally in Canada, Europe and Asia (DOB: 8/30/44).

James Morris, Director of Quantitative Analysis. Mr. Morris has over 10 years experience working in the corporate financial analysis departments of various Fortune 500 companies such as Centex Corporation, Fiserv, TXU, and what is now known as JP Morgan Chase. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst Level II candidate. James received his MBA from Southern Methodist University (Cox School of Business) in 1999; and his BBA from Baylor University (Hankamer School of Business) with a double major in Economics and Finance in 1996 (DOB: 7/29/76).

James Piot, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Piot has been an investment professional for over 23 years. Initially a stock-broker representative of Rauscher Pierce, Refsnes Securities (now Dain Rauscher) after the October 1987 market correction Mr. Piot became an independent securities broker managing two (2) regional offices in Dallas and Ft. Worth Texas. In January of 1996 he joined Lincoln Financial Advisors, Inc. becoming a Senior Financial and Estate planning advisor – member of the Chairman’s Counsel, and LFA Resource Group within 2 years of joining Lincoln. Mr. Piot has continued as an independent Financial Advisor since leaving Lincoln in 2006 and on June 1, 2010 joined Channel Trend Inc., as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the securities industry Mr. Piot was the past President of ITEL Network Communications Corp, (ITEL Corp NYSE), and Cable and Wireless - North American Network Communications Corp.

Steve Burks, Director of Operations. Mr. Burks is a 1973 graduate of the University of Missouri with a BS/BA degree in Finance and Economics. For 11 years, Mr. Burks served as a portfolio manager and director of marketing for Commerce Bank of Missouri and later the MTrust Group of Texas. In 1985, he joined H.D. Vest Securities, Inc. as a senior manager responsible for the investment advisors group. In 1988 he joined Cullum and Sandow Securities as President and partner. After their buyout in 1997 by Southwest Securities, Inc (NYSE: SWS), he became President of their SWS subsidiary where he was responsible for over 700 registered representatives. From 1999 to 2010 he was Founder and President of Cullum and Burks Securities, Inc. Mr. Burks holds S7, S8, S53, S63 and S65 licenses and is a graduate of the ABA’s National Trust School.

William M. Keller, Manager of Corporate Communications. Mr. Keller’s primary responsibility is to manage all of the marketing and client communication needs that both Channel Trend and Campbell Keller, LLC have. Mr. Keller attended Marketing and Advertising courses at the University of North Texas’s College of Business Administration. Mr. Keller is also in charge of most of the database management needs related to Channel Trend’s research production. Prior to joining Channel Trend Mr. Keller was an International Account Manager for a lifestyle marketing and investment firm based in Bangkok Thailand (ChindAsia Capital Partners Limited). He was primarily responsible for managing the firm’s client relations. He also worked as a broker for an oil and gas firm (DW Energy) in Las Colinas, Texas.

Rudy Villarreal, IT and Production Manager. Mr. Villarreal joined Channel Trend more than 3 years ago primarily as the Production Manager. He is an A+ certified technician. He was instrumental in developing a research product for Channel Trend that Fidelity Investments still uses. Mr. Villarreal has also been a software and a hardware technician for over 15 years.
Tina Cleaver, Corporate Secretary. Mrs. Cleaver is one of the original members of the Channel Trend team. Since Channel Trend’s inception her responsibilities have included accounting and record keeping. Until early 2010 Mrs. Cleaver was also in charge of database management as well as the marketing and client relations needs related to the research that Channel Trend produces. Prior to joining Channel Trend she worked in institutional sales at Rauscher Pierce.

Robert Landis, Database Architect. Mr. Landis has over 26 years of engineering, statistical analysis, database and software programming, and management experience, with 6 years at the VP and C-level executive positions. He graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Geneva College in 1984. Mr. Landis then joined TI in Dallas, Texas as an electrical engineer. While at TI he wrote and published an article related to Spiral Antenna technology in the Texas Instruments Technical Journal. In 1989, he graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering and began work on a PhD in the same field of study. In 1991 he joined the DOE Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) project in Waxahachie, Texas as a design engineer/group leader. He also obtained his Professional Engineer’s license with the state of Texas at the same time. In 1994, Mr. Landis left the SSC and incorporated Quest Applied Technologies, Inc, a software development business specializing in database architecture and implementation, custom software design and development, and requirements document analysis. Clients included Fox Sports Networks, Sandia National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2002, Mr. Landis joined SkillsNET, Inc and became the VP of IT and CTO for the company. While at SkillsNET the company grew from an 8 employees to over 120 employees. Earnings grew from just $400,000 a year to over $5 million a year during the same time. In 2009, Mr. Landis left SkillsNET and started a software consulting business, supporting web development, statistical analysis, stock analysis, software related patent research and review, database architecture and design, and Oil and Gas Industry control systems design and installation. Mr. Landis is currently working on a Masters of Science in Accountancy and is on schedule to graduate with honors in April of 2011.
